World Heavyweight Champion, Anthony Joshua will face Bulgarian boxer Kubrat Pulev also known as 'Cobra' as his International Boxing Federation (IBF) mandatory challenger at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20, 2020.
Johnson, who defeated Andy Ruiz Jnr to regain his titles in December is mandated to fight in order to retain his IBF, World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Organisation (WBO) titles.
"On June 20, I am defending my heavyweight world titles," Joshua said in a statement, confirming the bout.
"I’m back in my home city after some time away. A spectacular stadium has been built in North London and I’m honoured to bring the boxing community from all over the world to witness us make history with the stadium’s first heavyweight world title fight."
Fans expected Joshua's next bout to be against Tyson fury, making it a UK affair but Deontay Wilder sought for a third fight with Fury in efforts to regain his title.
Speaking on the Fight, Pulev 'Cobra' who was a two time European Heavyweight Titleholder wrote on Facebook, saying "The contract is already officially signed,"
"I am happy to be able to show the world how strong I am," Pulev added.
