English Premier League club Leicester City have signed on Frenchman Claude Puel as their new manager on a three-year deal. Former Southampton boss Puel replaced Craig Shakespeare who was sacked last week with Leicester, the 2016 English champions, third-bottom of the table.

Former Nigeria captain and head coach Sunday Oliseh has expressed his delight after guiding Fortuna Sittard into the third round of the Dutch Cup for the first time in 18 years.

Second-tier Dutch club Fortuna achieved the feat after defeating Go Ahead Eagles 3-0 in Tuesday’s home tie.

Former Nigeria international Daniel Amokachi has backed former Everton teammate David Unsworth to become the Merseyside’s manager on a permanent bases.

Unsworth – who is Everton’s Under-23s manager – was placed in temporary charge on Tuesday, a day after Ronald Koeman’s dismissal.

Head coach of the Super Eagles, Gernot Rohr, has confirmed that he has verbally agreed a new two-year deal to continue in his role.

Rohr’s initial contract contained a clause, that triggers a two-year extension if he qualifies Nigeria for the 2018 World Cup, a feat they achieved following their 1-0 win over Zambia in Uyo.
