Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, has admitted that chances for the blues to secure the fourth place in the English Premier League table this season is very slim.
Lampard made this statement ahead of the Chelsea away match against the Ashton Villa coming up this evening.
The blues currently hold a two-point advantage over Manchester United in the fifth position, with less than nine matches remaining to conclude the campaign.
The Chelsea boss in his statement as quoted by Chelsea officials on its official website said;
“It is going to be very tough [for Chelsea to finish in the fourth position],”
“You want every point that is on the table.
There are a lot of tough games in our run-in.
“It is a battle.
We’ll have to take the games as they come, remain focused on ourselves, and not look around too much.
“If we can be focused on ourselves and get the right results, it will look after itself.
“We have teams that are behind us and around with a lot of quality that is pushing for the same reasons as us.
It will be tough, but we will do our best.” Dailypost.
