NPFL outfit Enyimba has been paired with Egyptian Premier League outfit, Pyramids FC in the CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinals as both teams seek to book a place in this year's semi-final. The draw for the 2020-21 Total CAF Confederation Cup was conducted on Friday (30 April 2021) at the CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. CAF’s Director of Competitions, Samson Adamu, assisted by the Ivorian legend, Abdoulaye Traore, ran the drawing process that revealed some thrilling encounters in the road to the final.
Following are the quarter-final line ups, with the first leg on 16 May 2021, and the second leg on 23 May 2021. The first-named teams host the first leg. After the draw unfolded yesterday, it was decided that Pyramids will face Nigerian club Enyimba in the quarterfinal in the coming month. Pyramids are set to take on the Aba Warriors in the first leg on May 16 in Egypt, before heading to Abia, Nigeria to play the return leg encounter on May 23.
