Denmark’s football star midfielder Christian Eriksen on Saturday collapsed on the pitch of Parken stadium during his country’s Euro 2020 game against Finland. The 29-year-old was seen receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation at Saturday’s match in Copenhagen shortly after he slumped on the field just before halftime in their Group B clash with the Finns.
The midfielder’s teammates formed a ring around him as medics pumped his chest and subsequently wheeled him away on a stretcher.
There was visible frantic effort from the medical staff to resuscitate Eriksen while the entire teammates, fans looked on with utter shock.
