Ronaldo, 37, joined Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr FC for two-and-a-half-year which make him become the highest earner in club football history. The forward recently got his contract terminated at manchester united after an explosive interview with Piers Morgan where he appeared to slam Man United for their shortcomings over the years, as well as manager Erik Ten Hag.
According to sources, Cristiano Ronaldo will run for a period of seven years in total. The first 30 months as a footballer, will see him earn £ 177m a year, the biggest in football history, the later years, he will serve in an ambassadorial capacity which will see him pocket as much as £1.2BILLION over the course of the contract.
On agreeing to the contract, Ronaldo noted that he is "thrilled for a new experience in a different league and a different country. The vision that Al Nassr has is very inspiring. I am very excited to join my teammates, to help the team to achieve more success."
According to Al-Nassr in a statement, "History in the making. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls to be the best version of themselves.
