Arsenal Football Club is yet to sit with its midfielder, Mesut Ozil to discuss issues surrounding the termination of his contract, while he is not interested in leaving the club.
The German star was an integral part of the Mikel Arteta team before the pandemic but has dropped down in the selection order pushing him to lose relevance as he has not played a single minute of the current campaign.
The current tide seems to have caught him aloof as his name was missing in the club’s 25-man squad rolled out for the Europa League, raising speculation that the club may be deciding to drop his £350,000 weekly contract.
According to ESPN, no talks have taken place so far, but Ozil is not prepared to accept rejection prior to his contract term at the Emirates stadium. He is set to struggle his way into the Arteta list with aim of returning to the squad soon.
Arsenal has until 20th October to roll the final list of the 25-man squad for the Premier League and all eyes are on them to see if Ozil will make it to the list.
