The Nigeria National League (NNL) has announced an extension of the mid-season transfer phase and the registration period of new players for the second half of the season, shifting from Saturday, 31 January, to Friday, 6 February 6, 2026.


The Nigeria National League (NNL) has extended the mid-season transfer window and the registration of new players for the second half of the season, shifting the closing date from Saturday, January 31, to Friday,  February 2026.

The Chief Operating Officer of NNL, Danalami Alanana, disclosed this on Friday, 30 January, explaining that the clubs’ strong appeals prompted reconsideration of the deadline.

“We had to now shift the deadline from Saturday, the 31st of January, to Friday, 6th February, 2026, which aligns with the provisions of the governing rules and regulations,” Alanana stated.

Phase two has finally been scheduled to kick off next month.
