In a game of 15 goals, the Super Falcons of Nigeria triumphed the Niger Republic Women's team in order to book their place in this year's edition of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Women’s Cup of Nations.
The Super Falcons who came third in last years edition were drawn in group B against Niger, Burkina Faso and last edition third place looser Mali. The Falcons en route to the semi-final have scored 20 goals and conceded one (1). 5-1 against Burkina Faso in the first game of the tournament on Thursday before emerging victorious in a 15-0 win over Niger.
The competition serves as the final preparation for the Falcons ahead of the FIFA Women World Cup, will see the Falcons take on Mali in their final group game on Monday.
