This year Tennis Star Rafael Nadal heads into the French Open as the strong favourite to take the crown and triumph over all other contenders. The Spaniard aims for an almost impossible 10th Roland Garros crown. He was champion in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, Nadal now targets to take his tenth French Open title even as he has been rejuvenated in 2017.
He has a perfect clay court play this season, winning in the Monte Carlo, Barcelona and Madrid before losing in the Rome quarter-finals to Dominic Thiem. Nadal also reached the finals of the Australian Open and Miami finals losing to Roger Federer in both ties.
Nadal withdrew in the third round at last year’s French Open with a wrist injury and his days of domination seem to be over, but he recovered fully from his wrist injury and since returning in January he looks like a man reborn.
