The organised labour in Kogi has threatened to call out its members for mass action, should government continue to default in the payment of salary to its workers.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the Joint Public Service Negotiating Council (JPSNC) issued the threat in a statement in Lokoja on Tuesday.

The death of a director in the Kogi Civil Service, who committed suicide, has drawn the attention of the House of Representatives to the non-utilisation of bailout funds and the non-payment of salaries in Kogi state.
