One of the wanted terror suspects who escaped from the Kuje Medium Security Custodial Centre, following an attack on the facility last week Tuesday, has been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). This was made known in a statement signed by NDLEA’s, Director of Media & Advocacy, Femi Babafemi.


According to him, the fleeing terror suspect, Suleiman Idi was arrested at Area 1 motor park, Abuja in the early hours of Monday, July 11 while attempting to board a commercial vehicle heading to Maiduguri, Borno State.

During a preliminary interview, the suspect revealed to NDLEA operatives that he was remanded at the correctional facility for terrorism and robbery charges, adding that he was one of the recently escaped inmates.

Three wraps of cannabis sativa were found on the escaped fugitive and the NDLEA, Chairman, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa (Rtd) has directed that he should be immediately handed over to the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
