Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of Interior, has promised Nigerians that the automation passport application process will begin the following week, while also noting that front offices in certain key locations across the United Kingdom have been scheduled for opening. The Minister during a live interview disclosed that the technology needed to be in place for the automation of passports is 99 percent done.

A construction worker was successfully rescued on Saturday, 25th November 2023, after a section of a building under construction partially collapsed in Abuja, according to the Federal Captial Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). It was gathered that the worker was among those involved in the casting on the floor of the building located close to Taj Bank in the Central Business District area of Abuja, when the cast collapsed on him. According to a statement issued last night, by the Head of Public Affairs, FEMA, Nkechi Isa, the victim had been rescued and taken to the Trauma Centre of the National Hospital, Abuja for medical attention. She added that FEMA was alerted around 4:00 pm after the construction workers failed to rescue their trapped colleague.

The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai has killed a top Boko Haram terrorist leader, Abu Asad and over 100 Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists, in Tagoshe on the Mandara Mountains in Borno state on Friday. Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, Director, Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force (NAF), said this in a statement, on Saturday in Abuja. Gabkwet stated that the air strikes carried out on Friday were one of the most successful strikes by the air component of Operation Hadin Kai in recent memory.
He said NAF spotted a group of terrorists in a remote place consisting of three zinced huts surrounded by trees.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Okezie Kalu, urged legislators across all levels of government to intensify efforts in combatting gender-based violence. He specifically called for the swift adoption and implementation of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Act by states that had not yet done so, emphasizing the need to urgently bridge the legislative gap on gender violence issues.
