A Catholic priest identifies as Rev. Father Isaac Achi, has been gruesomely murdered by bandits after invading his residence in the wee hour of today Sunday morning in Paiko Local Government in Niger state. Vigil360 learned that when the bandits invaded the priest's residence, they couldn’t gain access to him because of the security measures he put on his house, consequently, the terrorist out of anger set his house ablaze while he was still in, destroying everything in the house.
Until his death, the clergy was attached to St. Peters and Paul Catholic Church, Kafin-Koro, in Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger state.

A fire incident in Araromi spare parts market, Ibadan has depredated no fewer than 25 shops in the early hours of Saturday. General Manager(GM), of Oyo State Fire Service, Rev. Canon Yemi Akinyinka who confirmed the incident stated that the service got an emergency call about the incident around 2.30 a.m, and immediately deployed personnel to the place to dowse the incident.

The National Industrial Court sitting in Akure, the Ondo State capital in a judgment delivered by Justice Damulak has held that the provision of section 127 of the Police Act and Regulation 127 that is applicable to unmarried women police officers getting pregnant while in service but not applicable to unmarried male police officers impregnating females while in service, is discriminatory against the female officers. The above regulation is inconsistent with Section 42 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) and Article 2 of the African Charter on Human and People's Rights which abolishes gender discrimination. The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has cautioned that the current wave of insecurity if persists could lead to the cancellation or postponement of the forthcoming general election. The electoral umpire has lamented that the development if not nipped in the bud could hinder the declaration of the election result and that would amount to constitutional crises in the country. The statement was made yesterday in Abuja by the Chairman, Board of Electoral Institute TEI, INEC’s training arm, professor Abdullahi Abdu Zuru during the validation of election security training resources.
