The DG of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) Musa Nuhu, has explained why the postponement of resumption of domestic flight from its initial date after shutting airport except for essential flights since March due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
The DG NCAA has revealed that the initial date for flight resumption was no longer feasible because the aviation industry is yet to fit in with the present public health status, and the industry is avoiding been a vector for further transmitting the novel virus and also ensuring that all aircraft are checked.
Meanwhile, the government is reconsidering the end of June for the resumption of domestic flights after submitting a report through the ministry of aviation to the PTF for review and possibly agreeing on a date.
