The information has revealed that in response to the senseless killing of dozens of innocent Nigerians by suspected bandits in Kaduna state the Nigerian military has responded and engaged the brutes using military Aircraft and ground forces. Suspected bandits in the wee hours of Sunday 1st March 2020, attacked six villages of Kerawa, Rago, Marina, Zariyawa, Hashimawa, Gidan Musa Saidu, and Unguwar Barau – within Giwa, Birnin Gwari, and Igabi LGAs, killing dozens including infants.
The evil-doers also torched many houses and destroyed vehicles and other properties. Governor Nasir El-Rufai during a visit to some of the affected villages on Monday said security agencies have been directed to wipe out bandits in the state even as the death toll from communities attacked rises.
The Governor also insisted that his administration will not succumb to granting the bandits amnesty. Some sources have revealed that it seems the bandits launched the attacks in what seems like vengeance against the villagers who they had accused of providing information to security agencies.
Many residents of the villages have fled for their lives as they have lost many houses to the assailants who also carted away foodstuffs during the assault.
