A Federal High Court in Abuja has on Tuesday 24 of September 2019 ordered the release of Omoyele Sowore as there was no longer a subsisting order holding him in detention.
Justice presiding over the case, Justice Taiwo Taiwo made the ruling after listening to arguments from both the prosecuting counsel and the defense lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN).
The judge also ordered that Sowore should drop his passport with the court within 48 hours as part of the bail conditions.
