The Federal High Court in Warri, Delta state has directed the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to maintain the status quo regarding the current legal tussle over tinted glass permit.
The case is filed in the Suit No. FHC/WR/CS/103/2025: John Aikpokpo-Martins v. Inspector-General of Police & Nigeria Police Force.
During the delivery of the interim order, the court directed the NPF to respect judicial processes and avoid any action until further proceedings.
According to reports, some state police commands have commenced the enforcement of the tinted glass permit. For instance, 25 vehicles were impounded in Delta State, while residents in Kano and Lagos states noticed the enforcement exercise in some parts of the state.
