The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has nullified 485 area council land allocations in Abuja for failing authenticity checks.
The nullification was approved by the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, and relayed in a public notice published by the FCTA through its departments of land administration and the Abuja Geographic Information Systems (AGIS).
The notice reads as follows: “This is to inform the general public, particularly applicants who submitted Area Council land documents for regularization, that the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory has approved the nullification or cancellation of applications that failed the necessary official checks for genuineness and have been confirmed to be fake.”
In Bwari Area Council, the affected places include Ushafa Village Expansion Scheme, Ushafa Extension, and others.
In the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), the affected locations include Kurudu Commercial, Karu Village Extension, Nyanya Phase IV Extension, Kurudu-Jikwoyi Relocation, Jikwoyi Residential, Sabon Lugbe, and Lugbe I Extension.
