The Presidency has debunked a viral report circulating that a staff of the kitchen at the Presidential Villa in Abuja attempted to poison President Bola Tinubu.
This was made known in a post on X by the special adviser to the president on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
The post reads, “No Aso Rock kitchen staff arrested. No Aso Rock kitchen staff attempted to poison President Tinubu. Please ignore this fake news being disseminated by this video.”
A video has been circulating online on Sunday claiming an unnamed kitchen staff member was apprehended in connection with the alleged plot to poison President Tinubu.
The video failed to cite any credible source or provide details that can be verified and quickly gained online traction, but the presidency dismissed the video as misleading and false.
