Following large crowds that have approached the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) offices for re-issue of lost certificates, the council’s Head of National Office, Mr Olu Adenipeku on Sunday 16th June, 2019 warned candidates in possession of its certificates that it won't re-issue on account of misplacement, fire, flood or theft.

The National Centre for Women Development (NCWD) has inducted the wife of late Chief MKO Abiola, Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, Dr Stella Adadevoh, and wife of Nigerian President, Aisha Buhari, into the Nigerian Women Hall of Fame. The Director-General of the Centre, Mrs Mary Ekpere-Eta, spoke in Abuja during the induction ceremony of 22 female icons into the Nigerian Women Hall of Fame.
