President Bola Tinubu, after observing the 2024 Eid-el Adha prayers at Dodan Barracks, Lagos, congratulated the Muslim faithful. He prayed that Allah accept their supplications and acts of obedience. He also urged Nigerians to embody the virtues of sacrifice, love, and gratitude towards one another and the Almighty God.
According to the president, "Being a very good citizen comes with responsibility, As citizens, what do you do to be a very committed member of our society? Go and sacrifice. Love your country, love your neighbors, share what you have with one another, and be thankful to Almighty God. That’s all.”
Earlier, in statement by the president, signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, on Saturday, enjoined Nigerians to reflect on the essence of the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, which bears strong meaning and significance for the nation.
