The National Examinations Council (NECO) has digitalized the recruitment process for both internal and external examination supervisors as well as assistant supervisors for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). This was made known in a statement issued by the Council which also stated that this development was to “check sharp practices in the recruitment process and to enhance efficiency and effective service delivery”.
The statement further stated, “The digitalization process, which involves migration from the manual recruitment of supervisors and assistant supervisors to the online system, will ensure that supervisors’ nomination forms, appointment letters and supervisors’ e-photo albums are generated online.”
The examination body also announced that the routine swapping of examination supervisors and assistant supervisors during the period of examinations would be done online.
It also called for applications as internal and external examination supervisors from interested qualified teachers with Nigeria Certificate In Education (NCE), degree certificate, Master’s degrees, PhD and Professors for its BECE and SSCE.
