The Governor of Ekiti state Ayodele Fayose says the current fuel scarcity is merely a ploy by the current administration to further increase the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from N145 to N185 per litre. The governor who made this known in a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka described the Buahari led administration as insensitive to the plight of ordinary Nigerians.

The Federal Government says over 90 per cent of cooking gas cylinders in the country are expired or substandard. The disclosure was made on Tuesday by the Programme Manager, National LPG Expansion Implementation Plan (Office of the Vice-President), Dayo Adeshina, at the just concluded 7th Annual LPG conference and exhibition, held in Lagos.

Hariri's decision to return back to the country came after a brief visit to France where he held talks with French President, Emmanuel Macron.
