Eid-El-Fitr: FG Declares Tuesday, Wednesday Public Holidays
The Federal Government of Nigeria has declared Tuesday, April 9 and Wednesday, April 10 as public holidays to mark this year's Eid-el-Fitr celebration. Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement on behalf of the FG yesterday in Abuja. The minister in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr Aishetu Gogo-Ndayako congratulated all Muslim Ummah for the successful completion of the fast in the holy month of Ramadan. He urged Muslims to imbibe and practise the virtues of kindness, love, tolerance, peace, good neighbourliness, and compassion as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon him).
