President Muhammadu Buhari in his Easter message called on Nigerians to seek legal avenues for addressing any grievances they may have regarding the results of the 2023 general elections. In a statement personally signed by Mr. President on Friday, he highlighted the importance of Easter as a time of renewal and hope for the future. According to him, Easter is the triumph of light over darkness. Buhari said, “I join Christians in Nigeria and around the world to celebrate Easter, which commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, signposting his victory over death.

The Federal Government has declared Friday 7, and Monday 10, April as public holidays for the celebration of Good Friday and Easter Monday respectively.
