President Muhammadu Buhari felicitates with Nigerians on Christmas, assuring Nigerians that the Buhari-led administration is "resolute at ensuring that the standard of living for the average Nigerian is elevated".
In a special Christmas message, titled “PRESIDENT BUHARI’S 2021 CHRISTMAS MESSAGE”, the President assured Nigerians that the security challenges facing Nigeria will soon become history. He also said stated that with the renewed empowerment of security personnel, security challenges and trauma will soon be history.

The Federal Government has today declared Monday 27th, Tuesday 28th December 2021, and Monday 3rd January 2022, as public holidays to celebrate 2021 Christmas, boxing day, and 2022 New Year celebrations. The Minister of Interior, Abdulrauf Aregbesola made this known in a statement issued through his permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Shuaibu Belgore. Aregbesola facilitated with the Christian faithful and all Nigerians both Home and Diaspora calling on Christendom to emulate the Christ-like life and humility.

The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oyo State, Oba Jimoh Oladunni Oyewumi, Ajagungbade III has died at 95. Oba Jimoh was born into the family of Oba Bello Afolabi Oyewumi Ajagungbade II and Ayaba Seliat Olatundun Oyewumi, he ascended the throne on October 24, 1973.

The Federal Government has declared Tuesday, October 19, 2021, as public holiday to mark this year's Eid-ul-Maulud celebration in commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad. The declaration was made in a statement by the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola on behalf of the FG, congratulated the Muslim faithful for witnessing this year's celebration. He urged Nigerians, particularly Muslims to refrain from violence, and other acts of criminality, enjoining them to imbibe the spirit of love, perseverance, and patience as the Holy Prophet.

Former Foursquare Gospel Church’s General Overseer (G.O), Dr Wilson Badejo has been reported dead. Rev. Yomi Oyinloye, the National Secretary of the church made the disclosure that the former G.O of the church between 1999 and 2009 has died on Saturday after a brief illness.
