Dr. Rasaq Akindele, the Executive Secretary of the Osun Health Insurance Agency, previously listed numerous State Government-funded programs aimed at raising the standard of healthcare provided by the organization to its citizens.
Akindele further revealed that free health care for traditional rulers and their spouses extends beyond just offering health insurance coverage, calling the program a "strategic milestone worthy of mention."
According to the agency, the program demonstrates the administration's dedication to guaranteeing that all Osun State residents, regardless of social standing or background, have access to high-quality, reasonably priced healthcare.
Speaking about the development, OHIS Executive Secretary Rasaq Akindele revealed on the state's X handle that the organization had already taken the required steps to guarantee a smooth enrollment process throughout the state. He stated that the activity would last for two weeks and that agency representatives would start visiting traditional kings' castles on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, to register and enroll.
