Strange Disease Strike Kogi Village, Kill 5A strange disease, whose symptoms include diarrhea, blood-stained vomiting and the high fever has killed 50 people at Okunran, Okoloke and Isanlu-Esa villages in Yagba West Local Government of Kogi.

Since the onset of the Lassa fever outbreak in December 2016 a total of 194 deaths from 906 reported cases have been recorded according to the Federal Ministry of Health through the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). Dr Joshua Obasanya, Director, Prevention and Programmes Coordination Department, NCDC, made the disclosure in a statement in Abuja on Friday.
