The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has revealed for the second time in one week, it has broken the record of its daily toll of the new COVID-19 cases in the country recording 681 cases in one day.
The country had on June 09th recorded 663 new cases, a figure which when it was announced was the highest daily record ever.
However, the agency has yesterday announced a new figure that has to break the record of the earlier June 9th, on Thursday saying as, on June 11, Nigeria has recorded a total of 14,554 cases with five new deaths.
The health agency made this announcement through its official twitter handle saying no new case has been reported in the last 24hrs.
NCDC said Lagos state as always has continued to take the lead having more than 50% of the reported cases with 345 infections with Rivers state a distant second with 51 new cases.

The agency said that till date, 14,554 cases have been confirmed, with 9673 active cases and 4,494 cases have been discharged after receiving treatment and 387 have died in 35 states of the Federation and FCT.
