Akwa Ibom tight-lipped over the five confirmed cases of COVID-19 pandemic virus recently recorded in the state, making a total of 174 cases in Nigeria.

This confirmed cases was after the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Udom Emmanuel, claim how well equipped with health facilities the South-South state is to fight again COVID-19 emergencies.

Nigeria is expected to record more cases as health authorities have embarked on contact tracing to locate thousands of people who have come in contact with the infected persons and also focusing on increasing its testing centres and numbers of people tested per day.
