Following the sack of  Jose Mourinho, Manchester United has paid their former gaffer £15 million ($19 million) as compensation. According to a source close to Mourinho whose contract was due to run till the end of  2019/20 season, has revealed that the compensation has been paid.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has declared Egypt host of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. This was announced after Egypt won the ticket over South Africa, by 16 to 1 vote.

Former Arsenal FC Chairman, Peter Denis Hill-Wood passed away at the age 82 on Friday, The Guardian reports. Hill-Wood who is survived by his wife, Sally, and children Sarah, Julian and Charles was born on 25th February, 1936 in Kensington, London. Educated at Eton College and worked most of his life in the banking industry.
