Former Coach of Enyimba Football Club, Samson Unuanel yesterday sued the club to court over an alleged N3.450 million debt. The suit which was brought before Justice Kiyersohot Damulak of the Nation Industrial Court, Abuja alleged that the club owed Unuanel balance of his sign-on-fee.

President Muhammadu Buhari has saluted the senior women’s national football team, (Super Falcons), for winning the 2019 WAFU Women’s tournament, which ended in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, over the weekend. Nigeria won the championship after defeating the competition’s hosts, Dame Elephantes, on a 5-4 penalty.

Nigerian footballer, Ahmed Musa who joined a Saudi club side (Al Nassr) last summer has reportedly won the league title with his team. The former Leicester City player is said to have played 24 league games this season and scored seven goals for the Saudi side.

Super Falcons coach Thomas Dennerby has named a 27-man provisional squad the final camp in Austria ahead of the 8th FIFA Women’s World Cup finals taking place in France from 7th June to 7th July 2019. The bulk of the group is from the team who won a record 11th African women’s championship in Ghana last year.
