Cristiano Ronaldo, today appeared before a Spanish Judge on Monday morning in the outskirts of Madrid as part of an investigation to determine whether the Portugal forward committed tax fraud. Spanish judge summoned the Madrid Star to appear before him in an investigative closed session away from the prying eyes of the public.

At least two people have been killed and several injured in a crush at South Africa's biggest stadium in Soweto, according to the state broadcaster SABC said.  It took place during the Soweto derby between football clubs Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates on Saturday. The crush occurred at Gate J of the world cup hosted stadium.

Manchester City new recruit, Benjamin Mendy will miss the beginning of the 2017/2018 season due to thigh injury.  The Coach, Pep Guardiola made the disclosure during an interview with Skysports. He hinted that though the player passed his medical at Ethihad and completed a £49.2m move to City from Monaco, he has been nursing thigh injury for eight months.
