Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba has congratulated the Nigerian Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen after Nigeria defeated Cameroon 2-0 in the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, last-16 last night. Osimhen marveled his spectators in an impressive display during the scuffle, as two goals from Ademola Lookman sealed the victory for Jose Peseiro’s side against Cameroon.

 
The 25-year-old has been the subject of debate over his club’s future after Napoli owner Aurelio de Laurentiis announced a few days ago that he would leave the Serie A champions at the end of the season. 

However, yesterday Saturday it become clearer that Osimhen had made up his mind to join Chelsea at the end of the season. 

Later that night, Osimhen met up with one of Chelsea’s legendary strikers, Drogba at AFCON, where he was congratulated by the Ivorian after Nigeria defeated Cameroon. 

The duo also robbed mind over Ivorian network NCI where Osimhen said: “It is an honour to play on the land of Didier Drogba, my idol.” 

Osimhen is expected to lead Nigeria to victory when they will tackle Angola in the AFCON quarter-final come February 2.
