The President of The Confederation of African Football (CAF), Ahmad Ahmad has sacked Amr Fahmy, the Secretary-General after he made corruption accusations against the president. of misappropriation of funds.
According to Reuters, Fahmy had on March 31 sent FIFA investigations committee a document which stated that the CAF President had directed Fahmy to pay $20,000 bribes into the accounts of Presidents of African Football Associations.
The Secretary-General also accused Ahmad of misusing hundreds of thousands of dollars to purchase expensive cars in Egypt and Madagascar, ordering equipment through a French intermediary company 'Tactical Steel' as well as harassing four female CAF staff.
