Chelsea Football Club are reportedly set to make a shock bid for Polish born Bayern Munich Talisman, Robert Lewandowski to address the vacuum that will be created after the envisaged exit of Diego Costa.

Emerging reports claim that the 28-year-old striker who scored 43 goals to assist Bayern Munich win a record fifth consecutive league title is unsettled at the club.

His agent, Maik Barthel was recently quoted as saying “Robert told me that he got no support and that the coach [ex-Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti] gave no call to help him in the last game to win the top-scorer title"

“He was disappointed as I have ever seen him before.” he added

Chelsea appears to be set to capitalize on the player's emotional situation and lure him to Stanford Bridge. Chelsea had earlier indicated interest in the signing of Romelu Lukaku and Alvaro Morata. The club is however yet to make any meaningful impact in the transfer market which will officially open in July 1.
