The Premier League has today confirmed the nominees for Manager of the Season award. Competing are, Mikel Arteta (Arsenal), Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) as both Managers are in a fierce battle for the Premier League title. Meanwhile, Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola is also among the five nominees. Although, Liverpool’s title hopes may have given up in recent weeks, but Jurgen Klopp is included in the list.
Since 1996, Aston Villa is close to landing in a top four finish for the first time. That is largely down to the impressive work of Unai Emery, who masterminded a club-record home winning run that saw them down the likes of Arsenal and City this season
Accordingly, Guardiola is the only man nominated who has not picked up a gong for the best manager in a month during the season.
