Liverpool Football Club (F.C) Manager and coach, Jürgen Norbert Klopp piped closet rival Pep Guardiola to claim both the Premier League's Manager of the Season (2021/22) and the League Managers Association (LMA) Manager of the Year for the second time since 2019/20 season.
The Liverpool boss received both awards at a League Managers Association event on Tuesday night, in recognition of an outstanding campaign for his team days after Manchester City ended their quadruple dream with a point difference to win the league.
Klopp red's missed out on the premier league with just a point had already won the FA Cup and Carabao Cup this season, and have a Champions League final to look forward to on Saturday when they face Real Madrid in Paris to secure the treble.
On receiving the awards, the German manager thanked his fellow coaches for bestowing the award on him and acknowledged he had tough competition for the prize.
Klopp praised Steve Cooper in particular for guiding Nottingham Forest to the Championship play-off final, which will be played on Sunday, and the FA Cup quarter-finals where they lost out to Liverpool.
"For example, what Steve Cooper did at Nottingham is crazy.
"We had no idea we would consistently be that good. Now Real Madrid, we’ll give it a try."

Klopp emerged as the Premier League's Manager of the Season winner from a shortlist that also included Thomas Frank (Brentford), Pep Guardiola (Manchester City), Eddie Howe (Newcastle United) and Patrick Vieira (Crystal Palace).
