Captain of Abia Warriors, Augustine Njoku, says he is optimistic of victory in their Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, match day 16 clashes against Gombe United. Njoku said the Ochendo Boys are resolute to secure some goals as Christmas gift that would make their fans happy especially in this festive season. Accordingly, he calls on the fans to come out in their all to support the team during the game.
While charting with club media Njoku said, “its Christmas period and we want to present our supporters victory as a gift from the team”.
“We want to win conveniently so we are calling on the supporters to come out to support Abia Warriors to victory in the game.”
It is expected that by tomorrow Thursday, the Abia-based outfit will host Gombe United at the Umuahia Township Stadium.
During their last clash in year 2022, Abia Warriors secured a 3-2 win against Gombe United.
Odoh Valentine ( brace) and Samson Obi scored for the hosts in the game.
Meanwhile, only time will tell if the Gombe United will concede another defeat or they are visiting Umuahia to settle a score.
