Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has released his 24 man squad to face Benin Rep & Lesotho on 27th of March and 30th of March respectively for their AfCON qualifiers and has surprisingly omitted Paul Onuachu who has 24 goals in 28 games for Genk this season and is also topping the list for the Belgian league Golden boot.
Nigeria who is currently top of Group E with eight points will be looking to seal their place in the AfCON with Captain Ahmed Musa, deputy captain William Ekong, goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and forward Victor Osimhen leading the team. The final two games of the qualifiers will see the Super Eagles play Benin Republic who are a point behind them at the Stade Charles de Gaulle in Porto Novo on Saturday, 27th March and three days later, lock horns with the Crocodiles of Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.
