Super Eagles of Nigeria technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr, has reportedly threatened to quit his position as Nigeria ahead of the crucial 2018 World Cup qualifier against African champions Cameroon.

Information available to Vigil360.com.ng revealed that the German was disappointed with the treatment he received following the embarrassing defeat of the Super Eagles by the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, in Uyo.

It is reported that the 64-year tactician may likely tender his resignation during a meeting with the leaders of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Morocco next week.

The Technical Committee reportedly had a heated exchange with the Rohr after the South Africa loss, following which the Committee recommended certain things including vetting the list of players invited and injecting new Technical staff into the team, which the coach frowned upon.

The German is however opposed to working under such condition and is seeking reassurance from the leadership of the NFF, as a condition for his continued stay in the job.
