Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has disclosed a club he desire to play for in South as African giants, Kaizer Chiefs. Nwabali was linked with the Amakhosi after his impressive displays for Nigeria during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations played in Cote d’Ivoire. However, the Kaizer Chiefs instead signed a Rwanda international, Fiacre Ntwari from another South African club, TS Galatasaray.
Meanwhile, Nwabali later opted for a new three-year contract with Chippa United where he was made the team captain.
The 28-year-old star admitted that a move to Chiefs would’ve interested him a lot being his dream club.
Speaking to South African Radio station MetroFM, Nwabali said, “To be honest, Kaizer Chiefs is one of the clubs I really want to play for, this is a club I really want to play for in South Africa”.
“Kaizer Chiefs is one of the clubs I wanted to play for with all my heart. I won’t say I’ve been supporting them but this is the club I felt like I want to play for,” he concluded.
