Samsung Display has introduced a refreshed and somewhat intriguing brand identity for its QD-OLED technology. The rebranding highlights QD-OLED’s exceptional wide color gamut, which is designed to enhance display vibrancy, and draws attention to the core blue light-emitting component of the technology.

Originally launched in 2021, QD-OLED panels have since been integrated into over 170 products, primarily TVs and monitors, from major brands such as Samsung Electronics, Sony, Dell, HP, and Asus.

In March, Samsung announced plans to boost QD-OLED monitor panel shipments by 50% in 2025. This development signals a positive outlook for the technology, which had previously faced uncertainty regarding its long-term viability without significant new investment from Samsung Display.
