Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested 30 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Asaba, Delta State. According to Dele Oyewale, the EFCC spokesperson, the arrests were carried out by the Benin Zonal Directorate on Friday, March 14, 2025. The anti-graft agency revealed that the operation was based on credible intelligence regarding the suspects' alleged involvement in online scams.

Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State in a fair speech has stated that the confiscated ‘Okite’ boxes used by native doctors in the state would be subjected to forensic analysis.

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) on Wednesday arrested 376 illegal immigrants across Ogun state, who are into fraudulent activities at different levels to swindle Nigerians. The illegal immigrants were arrested at their hideouts during a joint raid by officers of the Service in the Ogun State Command and Zone A headquarters, in the suburbs of Lambe/Ajuwon Akute Areas of the state. According to Muhammed Akadri, the Comptroller of Ogun State Command, the arrest was made following a credible intelligence report on their nefarious activities.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has expressed concerns on controlled foreign fraud groups building up cells in Nigerian cities and recruiting young Nigerians into serious organized cybercrimes, including cryptocurrency fraud.

Unknown gunmen stormed the Elyon Paradise Ministry Church Asagba Ogwashi in Delta State, Friday night during a vigil and shot the pastor identified as Apostle Divine Omodia. During the incident, the assailants also abducted six worshippers.  It was gathered that the pastor had two of his fingers cut off by the attackers before they whisked away the six members of the church to an unknown location. 

Convicted billionaire kidnapper kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly called Evans, has told the Lagos State High Court sitting at Tafawa Balewa Square, that he was prepared to give up all his property acquired from kidnapping as a plea bargain agreement if the court could let him off the hook.
