The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has detained a former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, after failure to meet the bail conditions granted to him. A source from the commission who confirmed the development said that Malami was still in custody till 10.00p.m. on Tuesday for failing to meet the bail requirement and would remain in custody until he fulfils the requirements.

The Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) has secured the release of 100 pupils kidnapped from St. Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary School, Papiri, in the Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.

The Forward Operating Base (FOB), Escravos, of the Nigerian Navy revealed it had dismantled five illegal refining sites at Obodo Omadino Community in the Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State. This was made public by the FOB Escravos Commanding Officer, Navy Capt. Ikenna Okoloagu, on Tuesday in Warri, stating that about 13,050 litres of stolen crude oil were hidden in 30 dugout pits and three polythene sacks were discovered during the raid.
