The twenty-four schoolgirls abducted from Government Girls Secondary School, Maga, in Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State on November 17 have regained their freedom.

Less than a month after ordering the release and compensation of an Abuja-based businesswoman, Mrs. Chineze Ozoadibe, the Director General (DG), State Security Services (DSS), Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi, has ordered the release of one Kenneth Okechukwu Nwafor, arrested in July 2022, for his alleged involvement in the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB).

A Federal Court in Abuja on Thursday sentenced the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, to life imprisonment after being convicted on all seven counts of terrorism filed against him.
