Human rights lawyer and activist, Dele Farotimi, has been granted bail by an Ekiti State magistrates’ court for the sum of N50 million, with a surety in like sum. As part of the bail condition, the court said the surety must own landed property while the matter was adjourned to January 29, 2025, for further proceedings.

In anti corruption campaign, the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) reveal how corruption has severely battered the Nigeria’s economic and social development. To stem the tide, the commission called on Nigerians to make it a personal practice to fight the scourge as well as summon courage needed to expose corrupt practices.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) in Zamfara State disclosed that the newly formed terrorist group, Lakurawa was responsible for the explosion that happened on Wednesday along the Dansadau-Gusau Road in the Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, where 6 travelers were reportedly killed after a vehicle conveying them ran on explosives planted along the route.
