The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Nigerian Immigration Service have repatriated 51 more foreign nationals convicted of cyber-terrorism and internet fraud. The EFCC, in a statement on Thursday, stated that 50 Chinese and one Tunisian are among the most recent wave of deportees.

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has approved the veiling of witnesses in the trial of five suspectsed terrorist arrested in the 2022 attack at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Owo, Ondo State, who have been linked to a foreign terrorist organisation, the Al-Shabaab. Justice Emeka Nwite had yesterday granted the application to conduct the trial with a witness shield against Idris Abdulmalik Omeiza, Al Qasim Idris, Jamiu Abdulmalik, Abdulhaleem Idris, and Momoh Otuho Abubakar.
Security forces in the Republic of Chad have arrested the 18-year-old son of the late founder of Boko Haram, Mohammed Yusuf. The terrorist identified as Abdrahman Mohammed Yusuf, a.k.a. Abdraman Mahamat Abdowlaye, was reportedly arrested along with 5 other terrorists suspected to be associated with the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), a splinter group of Boko Haram that broke away in 2016 allegedly over ideological differences.
The Police Command in Kaduna State said its operatives, in collaboration with those of the State Security Service (SSS) and other sister agencies, have arrested a suspected vote buyer in the wee hours of Saturday scheming to buy votes at the by-elections and have recovered N25.9 million in cash. The command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Saturday in Kaduna.
