The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has declared Darlington Okoye, also known as Speed Darlington, a controversial entertainer, sought in connection with allegations of cyberstalking, cyberbullying, and rape. A High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has sentenced Oluwatimileyin Ajayi to death by hanging for the brutal murder of Salome Adaidu, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Presiding over the case, Justice Simon Aboki ruled that Ajayi was guilty of the murder and dismemberment of the 24-year-old corps member. Ajayi faced a single count of culpable homicide, which violates Section 221 of the Penal Code applicable in Northern Nigeria and carries the death penalty.
