Kidnapped Students, Staff Of FGC Kebbi Regain Freedom
Reports have it that bandits have released about 90 abducted students and staff of Federal Government College (FGC), Birnin Yauri in Kebbi state after spending one hundred and eighteen (118) days in captivity. Confirming the gaining of freedom of the students and teachers, a father of one of the victims, who sort for anonymity said, they were released yesterday but are still with the authorities. They are expected to undergo some medical check-up before they are released to parents. Requested whether or not there was ransom paid earlier than the bandits launched the scholars, he stated, “I’m not going to talk on that. I hope the authorities are in the position to explain better.”
