The Nigeria Police, Zone 2 comprising Lagos and Ogun on Monday disclosed that it has arrested eleven persons in connection with the gruesome murder of Olu of Agodo, in Ekwekoro Local Government Area (LGA) of Ogun State, Oba Olajide Ayinde.The Zonal Public Relations Officer, Zone 2 Command Headquarters, Onikan-Lagos, in a statement said the traditional ruler was burnt to death in his car on January 24 near his village in Ewekoro LGA.

The police in Lagos state have arrested the driver of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) where the 22-year-old, Bamise Ayanwole, went missing. The state police spokesman, Adekunle Ajisebutu, who revealed this in a statement on Monday, said “The driver of the BRT has been arrested. Details later.” The driver, identified as Nice Andrew Omininikoron, is already being questioned on what transpired before the fashion designer’s death. The deceased, got missing while returning to Ota from Ajah on Saturday, February 26 when she boarded a BRT bus with number 240257 going to Oshodi about 7 pm. at Chevron Bus-Stop.

The Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) as of 3rd March 2022, has slammed an eight-count criminal charge against the suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari and six other persons allegedly involved in the drug trafficking. The charges marked FHC/ABJ/CR/57/2022 are filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja and signed by Mr. Joseph Sunday, NDLEA Director, Prosecution and Legal Services.
